Center Moriches School District Welcomes New Superintendent

Dear Center Moriches School District Community, 

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Ron Masera, who signed a contract this morning with the Center Moriches School District to assume the role of Superintendent effective July 2019. I invite everyone to welcome Ron on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Room.

Ronald M. Masera, Ed.D
Dr. Ronald M. Masera grew up on Long Island and currently lives with his wife and four daughters in Eastport, NY. He earned his BA from SUNY Plattsburgh with a dual concentration in Business and Psychology. After working in the Business world for several years Ron returned to Dowling College where he earned his MA in Elementary Education. While teaching in the Westhampton Beach School District he pursued his School District Leader Certification at Stony Brook University. Ron later earned his Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership from St. John’s University, Queens, NY. He has served in several different administrative roles in Schools in Suffolk County. For the past 8½ years Ron has been Superintendent of the Remsenburg-Speonk UFSD. He is an adjunct professor, teaching graduate Educational Psychology and Administrative Preparation courses and is a Co-Editor for the Journal for Leadership and Instruction. Dr. Masera is a trusted leader in the region, and Vice President of the Suffolk County School Superintendent’s Association (SCSSA). An advocate for Public Education, Ron also represents Suffolk County on the House of Delegates for the NYS Council of School Superintendents.  In his free time, Ron enjoys reading, fitness activities and coaching his daughters in sports.
